While humans diverged from chimpanzees nearly six million years ago, the bonobos branched off much more recently. As a result, they went down a very different path from the other apes. While humans and gorillas and such all became male-based societies, the bonobo adopted matriarchy instead. This has given rise to anthropic beings that don’t kill each other. They don’t murder, there is no infanticide or plots for genocide or anything of the sort. Instead, they have found peace through female guidance!
You see, warmongering patriarchal societies like humans and chimpanzees tend to have significantly larger males, while the peace-loving bonobo are far more egalitarian due to a lack of sexual dimorphism. Again, the moral here is that peace prevails with women in charge of communities. This is precisely why I advocate a switch to matrifocal societies in which our mothers are recognized as the head of the household.
Like us, these animals even copulate face-to-face. The level of intimacy in their society is off the charts. They have sex for every imaginable reason, in every possible combination. It’s not all bisexual orgies though. They fornicate for reconciliation and to bond more and even as a means of greeting each other. There is a great deal of casual sex among them.
Since they lack our technology and understanding of biology, they are stuck not knowing who the father of any given child might be. This means every male takes care of every child, just in case. With this kind of loving attitude in general, their communities thrive. So, these apes live very comfortably. That is, so long as people leave them alone. Unfortunately, many of these wonderful creatures are captured and eaten in the African bush meat trade. As a result, the only civilized beings on the planet may all soon be gone…
